Egyptian Reliefs 2
This is my copy of a stela dedicated by Ptlemy V to the Buchis bull.

The original on which this copy is based is in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and is made of limestone, painted and gilded. It
was found in the Bucheum of Hermonthis in 1929-30 by the Egypt Exploration Society and was made in the 25th year of the
reign of Ptolemy V in 181 BC. The Bucheum was in use from the 30th dynasty (Nectanebo II) up to the roman period
(Diocletian).

This copy, which is for sale, is made in ferracotta plaster, painted with gouache and gold paint and waxed. The colours of the
original are different.
